The department sends its lieutenants to the USA for training on "space policies" and "space law". The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) started its Space Research Program as a result of the resolution approved by the National Security Council (MGK). The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) conducts this project with the sponsorship of general staff, Turkish Air Force, Ministry of Transport and the universities.
