Turkish humanitarian aid to Afghanistan under way

According to the Foreign Ministry, the Turkish Red Crescent and the Ministry of Health have contributed to the humanitarian relief efforts carried out by NATO and the Red Cross in Afghanistan, where avalanches and floods triggered by heavy rains claimed more than 100 lives in the past four days. A mission carrying 10 officials and humanitarian aid was flown yesterday from Ankara to Kabul.
