Turkey strengthens military cooperation with Bahrain and Qatar

Turkey signed a framework agreement on military education and technical and scientific cooperation in defense with Qatar and Bahrain yesterday.

Chief of General Staff Gen. Yaşar Büyükanıt signed the agreement with Major Gen. Hamad Bin Ali Al-Attiyah, Qatar Chief of General Staff, and Lieutenant Gen. Mohammad Bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa, Bahrain's minister of defense.

I prepared a speech which would last more than an hour, Büyükanıt humorously commented in his speech and stressed his hopes to develop relations with the two Arab countries.

Lieutenant General Al-Khalifa replied in his speech that Turkey is a model for Bahrain with its democracy and growing economy.
