Turkey's Yuksel has developed a new remote-controlled weapon station (RCWS) called IMTAKS, in partnership with MKEK. So far, two examples of IMTAKS have been built, one prototype and one pre-production. It has been developed for use in defending static locations - scanning pre-programmed arcs, as well as for installation on various types of armoured fighting vehicles

For the first time the Turkish company Yüksel presented at DSA 2008 a new remote controlled weapon station. This new remote operated system can be use for various weapons system. The system show to the DSA 2008 was equipped with a assault rifle and a machine gun.
The IMTAKS can be adapted to feed from the left or the right side of the weapon by exchanging the ammo box via reversing the easy accessible bolt switch on cradle of the system. He can be slaved to direction data obtained from an external target acquisition system or Battle Management Systems, or conversely provide target positioning and directional data to friendly forces through the BMS.
